Friends play a vital role in our lives. The presence of friends in our lives is supposed to be a blessing. There is no security like having a friend who watches your back, guides you, assists you and listens to you. After creating man, God realized there was one thing missing, which was a lifetime friend for the man. That is why He instituted marriage; a lifetime friendship between a man and his wife. ones behind the trigger sometimes. Enemies who want to hurt you these days come into your life as your friend, just to have access to you. Satan has succeeded in creating counterfeits, including friends. If this is not the case, how can a husband of ten years of marriage tell his wife, “I no longer feel love for you so I want a divorce”, how can a wife married to wealthy man, leave him because he is now broke. People these days marry because of their needs, and once those needs are met, we have relationship. True friendship goes beyond one's needs, its being

there for one another. Your friend is like your angel. For the bible says "Two can accomplish more than twice as much as one, for the results can be much better. If one falls, the other pulls him up; but if a man falls when he is alone, he’s in trouble" - Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (TLB).

Friendship is so important that the bible says "Wounds from a friend are better than kisses from an enemy!" - Proverbs 27:5-6 (TLB). So the question is, did people marry their enemy or friend? The truth is, some people are just there pretending to be your friend, whereas they are the ones making things so difficult for you. A true friend says ‘what can I do for you’, ‘what can I do to help you’, ‘what can I give you’. Whilst fake friends say ‘what can you give me’, ‘what can I get from this relationship?.

If you are single and thinking of having a lasting marriage, please think friendship. Marry a best friend for best friends make the good times in life better and the hard times easier. Your marriage is not fireproof, trouble-proof, problem-proof or hurt-proof. The fire will come, the trouble will come, problems will come and hurt will come, but it takes best friends to stick with you in times like that. Friends whose feelings change with time are suspects or bad friends. Don't trust them. This life can give us a number of beautiful friends, friends to party with when everything is going well, friends who say I love you because their cups are running over, friends who keep their account with you as far as their withdrawals are not declined.

Only this kind of friend can give us a beautiful life; whose feelings remain the same when time changes. This is a friend you can trust. A life time friend. Your best friend.
